PURPOSE:To detect an abnormal shadow at high precision by applying a filter for detecting the abnormal shadow of a detected object in every anatomic area. CONSTITUTION:In an arithmetic means 1, each anatomic area D1, D2... Dn of a subject are obtained based on inputted picture data S1, and in a storing means 2, each abnormal shadow detection filters F1, F2... Fn suitable for detecting the abnormal shadow existing in the anatomic areas D1, D2... Dn are stored. Then, the picture data S1 to show a radiation picture, the position information of each anatomic area D1, D2... Dn on the radiation picture obtained by the arithmetic means 1, and the abnormal shadow detection filters F1, F2... Fn stored in the storing means 2 are inputted to a detecting means 3, and each correspond ing anatomic area D1, D2... Dn of the radiation picture is scanned, and the abnor mal shadow is detected. Thus, the abnormal shadow can be detected at high precision. |
