PURPOSE:To take in only a desired connected area component into a picture memory even in the case the circumscribed rectangles overlap each other by providing a specified data extracting means to give one label number to a connected picture element and extract only the data of the designated label number. CONSTITUTION:A data suppression circuit 7 is a gate circuit to connect a picture bus 4 and a picture memory 13, and a circuit to resist the data to be taken in the picture memory 13 in coformity to a decision signal 14. Namely, the label number is attached to the binary data on an original picture line by a labeling processing means 5, and only the picture data related to the designated label number is extracted by the specified data extracting means 7, and it is stored in the picture memory 13. Accordingly, it is unnecessary to execute segmenting work by the circumscribed rectangle, and in addition, it is unnecessary to remove an excess picture out of the segmented rectangle. Thus, picture extraction can be executed at high speed and in addition, surely. |
