PURPOSE:To stabilize chargeability characteristics and to reduce deterioration of image quality due to time lapse and environmental changes by mixing a toner containing a specified charge controller with 2 kinds of carriers coated on the surfaces with different silicone resins. CONSTITUTION:The developer to be used comprises the toner composed of a resin, such as styrene type resins, a colorant, such as carbon black, and the charge controller made of a quaternary ammonium salt represented by formula I (R<1> is 1 - 8 C alkyl; each of R<2> and R<3> is 1 - 18 C alkyl; and R<4> is 1 - 8 C alkyl or benzyl, and the 2 kinds of carriers comprising a ferrite powder coated with the methylsilicone resin and a ferrite powder coated with a methylphenylsilicone resin. |
