PURPOSE:To reduce breaking of a glass fiber and enable uniform blending of the glass fiber and synthetic resin, by a method wherein a reinforcing filament is added with molten resin for infiltration by rotary plate, which is provided within a die, turns at right angles with a taking-over direction and possesses a fibrillating function, while extruding the reinforcing filament along with the molten resin. CONSTITUTION:Molten resin plasticized with an extruding machine 4 is entered into an impregnating die by passing through a breaker plate. An insertion port 3 of a glass filament is arranged on the side of the die, the glass filament 7 is pulled in through the insertion port 3 of a glass fiber and integrated with the molten resin within a flow path, shearing force is applied to the same by a rotary plate 1a in the die in the direction meeting at right angles with a taking-over direction and fibrillation is performed. Although the molten resin enters into a strand of a fibrillated glass fiber and extruded outside of the die along with the strand, pressure of molten resin is detected with a resin pressure sensor 5 to control content of the molten resin and a rotation of a motor of an extruding machine 4 is controlled by a control bored 6. |
