PURPOSE:To obtain toweling piece having large amounts of drapeabilities, water absorption properties and wiping properties by using at least a specific ratio of ultrathin synthetic fiber having specific size in looped pile yarn and/or ground yarn and controlling pile length within a specific range. CONSTITUTION:Multicomponent-type synthetic fiber becoming to bundle of ultrathin fibers having 0.7-0.00001 denier fiber size by removing and/or separating at least one component is used in pile yarn and/or ground yarn to weave looped pile toweling piece and said toweling piece is subjected to heat treatment, then said one component is removed and/or separated at the same time and/or after the heat treatment to afford toweling piece having 0.3-10mm, preferably 2-6mm looped pile length from base part. The ultrathin synthetic fiber is contained >=5wt.%, especially >=35wt.% to total weight of the toweling piece and may be used in a type of blend, union knitting or union fabric with other fiber. |
