<p>PURPOSE: To produce a metallized three-dimensionally deformed, dimensionally stable gauze having dimensional stability and electric conductivity, and suitable for a conductive sandwich-structured material or the like by the deep drawing a resin-coated woven- or knitted-fabric, by curing the resin and by metallizing the surface of the molded fabric product. CONSTITUTION: The objective three-dimensionally deformed and dimensionally stable gauze product having a metallized surface is produced by the following steps: (1) impregnating a base material composed of a woven- or knitted-fabric (preferably a knit made of synthetic fiber) capable of being deeply drawn with a resin (preferably a thermosetting resin such as phenolic resin) suitable for stabilizing the structure of the base material; (2) deep drawing the base material so as to have a preferred form at a temperature enabling the resin to flow easily; (3) maintaining the above form of the molded material until the resin is completely cured by adjusting the temperature so as to cure the resin; (4) metallizing the surface the molded product chemically or electrolytically, where a metal for metallizing is preferably Cu, Ni, Pt or the like.</p> |
