PURPOSE:To improve the program generation efficiency by using information registered as shared information to generate and output a program source based on the pattern analyzed by a pattern retrieving and analyzing part. CONSTITUTION:Information shared among plural program is registered in a data base 6 by a shared information register means 3. When a program generating means 1 is started, the control is transferred to a peculiar information input analyzing part 11, and peculiar information required for a program to be generated is inputted from a peculiar information storage file 4 and is analyzed. A pattern retrieving and analyzing part 12 uses the input pattern name obtained by the peculiar information input analyzing part 11 as the key to retrieve and input the designated pattern from a pattern storage library 5. A source program generating part 13 reflects information, which is shared among plural programs, in the data base 6 based on the program source part of the pattern to generate the program. Thus, the program is generated without input/output in a terminal at all to improve the generation efficiency.
