The oil pump is for a chainsaw. It has a drive (1) with shaft (6) and gear (5) fixed to the latter, the gear meshing with a worm wheel (4) on the engine output shaft (3). A pump (2) has a rotary and reciprocating plunger (9) in a housing (8), and driven by the shaft. The form separate assemblies, there being a sliding coupling (7,11) between pump and shaft. ADVANTAGE - Simple, compact and easily removed or fitted. |
