PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for electronic components, etc., which constitute a converting circuit which connecting a multi-mode type optical fiber transmission line, connected to a light emitting element, to a single-mode type optical fiber transmission line by fusion splicing, and sending a light signal. CONSTITUTION:A current transformer 2, a current detecting circuit part 3, the light emitting element 4, etc., are stored in one storage box 10 and fitted to the overhead conductor 1. An electric signal from the current transformer 2 is sent by the element 4 in the form of a light signal, which is transmitted to an optical fiber connection box 14 by the multi-mode type optical fiber transmission line 51 connected to the element 4; and the transmission line is connected 53 directly to a single-mode type optical fiber transmission line 52 by fusion splicing in this box 14. Then a single-mode optical multiplexer 3 multiplexes the light signal with other pieces of steel tower information, etc., and the transmission line 52 is connected to an optoelectric converting circuit. Consequently, a converting circuit which is required for transmission to the transmission line 52 is eliminate and none of the electronic components constituting the converting circuit and a power source for driving it are necessary. |
