<p>PURPOSE:To detect search speed in fast search and to display it in a prescribed display format in real time by detecting the rotating speed of a drum, and calculating and displaying the search speed from the detected rotating speed of the drum. CONSTITUTION:In the fast search of a rotary head type digital audio tape recorder (R-DAT), servo control is applied so as to always keep the relative speed of the drum and a tape constant, and the rotating speed of the drum is increased/decreased with constant relation interlocking with the increment/ decrement of tape speed. When an FF button 7 is depressed to perform FF search, a system controller 5 controls the tape at a pre-determined search speed, and also, performs the servo control of the rotating speed Nn of a drum motor 2 with a drum servo circuit 3 and a rotating speed detector 4 so as to always keep the relative speed of the tape and the drum 1 constant. The system controller 5 calculates the search speed (n) at that time one by one by using the rotating speed Nn, and displays it on a search speed display 6 in the prescribed format decided in advance, for example, digital display, etc.</p> |
