PURPOSE:To improve cooling efficiency and the resisting force to the sticking of splashes from a diagonal direction by providing assist gas outflow ports at least at >=2 points and locking halved sleeves which can clamp and fix a part of the exit end of an IR optical fiber by means of a lock cap. CONSTITUTION:This probe has an exit end chip 12 constituted by forming the assist gas outflow ports A at least at >=2 points on the circumference of the inside surface contg. the IR optical fiber 11. This exit end chip 12 is further formed with the halved sleeve parts B for clamping and fixing a part of the exit end of the IR optical fiber 11. Further, the probe is provided with the lock cap 13 which locks the halved sleeve parts B of the exit end chip 12 and fixes the exit end of the IR optical fiber 11, the assist gas 14 and an outer tube 15 consisting of 'Teflon(R)', etc. The assist gases 14 ejected from the assist gas 14 outflow ports A to the exit end of the IR optical fiber collide against each other and form turbulence. The cooling efficiency is improved in this way and the resisting force to the sticking of the splashes of the splashes from the diagonal direction is improved. |
