PURPOSE:To read a electric potential distribution pattern with satisfactory resolution and to enlarge and display it by providing a potential latent image storage plate which has a semiconductor layer, a photoconductive layer and a transparent conductive layer formed in order and forming a potential electrostatic latent image on the semiconductor layer by uniform electrostatic charging and X-ray exposure. CONSTITUTION:The semiconductor layer 22, photoconductive layer 23 and transparent conductive layer 24 are formed on a substrate 21 made of a conductor in this order, the photoconductive layer 23 becomes conductive by light incidence, but is not sensitive to X-rays, and the transparent electrode layer 24 is provided with a voltage measurement terminal 25. A potential latent image storage semiconductor 22 is charged electrostatically and uniformly and irradiated with X-rays transmitted through a sample to neutralize electrostatic charges corresponding to the intensity of the X-rays, and a potential latent image is formed on the storage plate 20 and read out with laser light 27 which is reduced to an extremely small diameter. Consequently, the pattern can be enlarged and displayed with satisfactory resolution. |
