PURPOSE:To reduce the heating time of a film by providing an infrared ray heater at the opposite side to a roll in relation to the thermoplastic resin film brought in contact with a heating roll. CONSTITUTION:The thermoplastic resin film transferred continuously is heated to necessary orientation temperature through heating rolls 1-5. The infrared ray heater 11 provided at the opposite side to the roll in relation to the film on each heating rolls 1-4, has the same center as the center 12 of each heating roll 1-4 and the arc shape of equal thickness S, and then said heater is arranged apart from the surface of the heating roll by the space 13 having suitable equal distance. Reflecting plates 10, 10 are fixed to the ends of both sides of said space 13. The thermoplastic resin film 9 heated to necessary orientation temperature by the heating rolls 1-4 and the infrared ray heaters 11 is orientated between the heating roll 5 and a cooling roll 6, and is cooled by cooling rolls 7, 8 and then it is transferred to the next process. Since the film 9 is thus heated by the heating rolls and the infrared ray heaters from both surfaces of front and rear, its heating time may be reduced. |
