The flexible contact element 1 is actuated mechanically by a member such as a lever, exerting a pressure force F such as to deform it elastically. This element comprises a fixed retention part 6 and a moving part 8 provided with a conductive pad 11 cooperating with fixed conductive parts 3, 4 outside the element 1. The moving part 8 is connected to the fixed part 6 by a part 9 which is elastically deformable for a pressure force rising to a certain value, corresponding to the approach stroke of the moving part 8. Another elastically deformable part 10 is compressed during an additional actuation stroke so as to afford suitable pressurisation of the conductive pad 11 against the conductive parts 3, 4, and to take up any mechanical spread. The element 1 can be mounted in particular on a printed circuit 2, for example in a cam programmer. <IMAGE>
