PURPOSE:To enhance durability and sensitivity of an electrophotographic receptor, by adding a specified hydrazone or dihydrazone compound to a photosensitive layer. CONSTITUTION:A compound contained in a photosensitive layer formed on a conductive substrate is represented by the general formula in which R is an optionally substituted mono- or di-valent aromatic hydrocarbon or polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon residue, such as benzene, naphthalene, anthracene, or fluorene; R1 is 1-4C alkyl, aralkyl, phenyl, naphthyl, tolyl, xylyl, 4-methoxyphenyl, 4-dimethylaminophenyl, 4-diethylaminophenyl, or the like aryl group; R2, R3 each alkyl, an aryl group, such as aralkyl, phenyl, naphtyl, tolyl, xylyl, 4-methoxyphenyl, or 4-chlorophenyl. |
