PURPOSE:To compensate the reduction of a compensation effect due to a control delay or a reactive power detecting error and to improve the whole compensation effect by adding a self-excited reactive power compensating means and controlling the means together with a thyristor type reactive power compensating means. CONSTITUTION:A control circuit 5 inputs load current iL and system voltage (e) and detects the reference wave component of reference wave reactive power for a load 2. The reference wave reactive power applies an ignition command to a thyristor Th in the thyristor type reactive power compensating means 3. On the other hand, the selfexcited reactive power compensating means 4 turns on/off a gate turn-off thyristor GTO by a command based upon a deviation between the reference wave component detecting value outputted from the circuit 5 and the load current practical value iL. Since the reference wave reactive power of the load 2 is compensated by the means 3 and the deviation between the reference wave component detecting value and the load current practical value iL is compensated by the means 4, the whole reactive power of the load 3 can be almost completely compensated. |
