The rotary commutator according to the invention consists of: - a movable part formed by a central shaft 8 fitted with at least one slip (commutator) ring 9 and intended to be mounted on a rotating main support 2; - a part held fixed, protected by a casing 11 mounted on the central shaft 8 by means of rotational guide means and equipped with at least one brush 10 in contact with the said slip rings 9. According to the invention, this rotary commutator includes a hollow central shaft 8 which passes right through the casing 11 in order to allow it to be fitted to the rotating main support 2, on which a water inlet pipe 4 is centred. The central shaft 8 is intended to be slipped over the water inlet pipe 4 and at least one of the ends of the said shaft 8 is equipped with means, in the form of a locking screw 18, for attachment to the said pipe 4. <IMAGE>
