<p>PURPOSE:To obtain an ointment for the skin, containing two ingredients of deprodone propionate and a base composed of white petrolatum and a liquid hydrocarbon in a specific proportion and excellent in percutaneous absorbability with a long duration of effects without skin irritancy. CONSTITUTION:An ointment containing (A) 0.05-1wt.%, preferably 0.1-0.5wt.% deprodone propionate and (B) 89-99.95wt.% base composed of white petrolatum and a liquid hydrocarbon and more preferably (C) 1-10wt.% polyhydric alcohols. The white petrolatum in the ingredient (B) is contained in an amount of preferably 74-98.95wt.%, especially 85-95wt.% in the base and the liquid hydrocarbon is contained in an amount of preferably 1-15wt.%, especially 5-10wt.% in the base. Light liquid paraffin, squalane, etc., are used as the liquid hydrocarbon. Propylene glycol, etc., are preferred as the polyhydric alcohols of the ingredient (C).</p> |
