The prepn. and conversion of materials consisting of polar molecules comprises treating the molecular agglomerates by electric or electro-magnetic forces. The basic resonance of the material is pref. used as feedback into the material or a signal generator is used for excitation. A circuit for carrying out the treatment consists of two electrodes, pref. one for pick up from the material and one for feedback and has a d.c. decoupling and an amplification section.m The amplifier is pref. an inversion amplifier. USE/ADVANTAGE - Treatment of water for consumption and swimming baths and in health therapy. The process may also be used to treat alcohol and alcohol/water mixts. Chlorination may be reduced by at least 50% in purification of water.
