<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate a need of a relative speed detecting circuit to perform the control without hindrance regardless of unrecorded parts on a tape by giving a tape speed and a drum rotational speed so that the speed component in the direction of the recording track of the relative speed vector of a head is equal to that for standard reproducing. CONSTITUTION:Since the rotating mechanism of a drum 12 and the feeding mechanism of a tape 16 are different in the rise response speed, respective target speeds are stepwise raised to approximate the relative speed to a target value even at the time of rise. The target speed of one of the drum rotational speed and the tape feed speed is calculated and given in accordance with the detected value of the other for the purpose of approximating the relative speed to a prescribed value, thereby approximating the relative speed for rise to the target value. In this case, rotation of the drum is controlled based on the tape feed speed because the response speed of the drum 12 is higher than that of the tape 16. Thus, a relative speed detecting circuit is unnecessary and the control is possible even in unrecorded parts of the tape 16.</p> |
