<p>PURPOSE:To realize an integrated circuit for specific application use in a short time, by a small development effort and at a small cost by providing a microcomputer, a logic circuit, a common-use peripheral circuit and a coupling control means. CONSTITUTION:The following are installed at peripheral edges of a chip: terminals 4, 5 for common use and for selective use; terminal circuits 6 to be used exclusively for a microcomputer core; terminal circuits 7 to be used exclusively for a random logic circuit; a mode-setting signal generation circuit 8; and a mode-signal input circuit 9. The microcomputer core 2 includes a CPU core, a ROM, a RAM, an I/F circuit, a timer, an I/O port and a bus. The random logic circuit 3 is constituted of various gates, a counter and an FF and is designed according to specific specifications. When the microcomputer core and the logic circuit part are tested, test signals are input and output respectively via a common-use peripheral circuit. Since they can be tested individually in this manner, a test program which has been already developed, a tool for software development and debugging use and the like can be used; and a development operation can be made fast, and an effort and a cost can be saved.</p> |
