<p>PURPOSE:To strip cable sheath regardless of the hardness of sheath material by measuring the hardness of sheath through an instrument then cooling a cable, which is judged to be soft through the instrument, through a cooling unit until predetermined hardness is provided to the sheath. CONSTITUTION:An instrument 2 lowers and presses a cable 1 thus measuring the hardness of the sheath 11. Upon finish of measurement, the instrument 2 is lifted to release the cable 1, which is then carried to a cooling unit 3. When the sheath 11 has been judged to be soft, the cooling unit 3 cools and hardens the sheath 11. The hardened cable 1 is carried through a carrying section 5 to a strip machine 4 provided with a sheath stripper 4a, where the sheath 11 is stripped.</p> |
