PURPOSE:To switch a telephone set and a facsimile automatic reception quickly and efficiently by setting the mode to a speech mode when there is any change in the physical state based on the result of detection of a detection means and to an automatic reception mode when no change exists in the physical state respectively. CONSTITUTION:In the case of the automatic answering mode, at first a CPU 4 throws a relay contact 7 to the position of the CPU 4 via a line connection section 5 to connect lines L1, L2 and the CPU 4. Hand-shake processing is implemented with an external facsimile equipment, resulting whether or not communication is enabled is discriminated and when communication is disabled, the CPU 4 throws the relay contact 7 to the position of the telephone set again via the line connection section 5. When the communication is enabled, automatic reception processing of the facsimile equipment is executed and whether or not the processing is finished is discriminated. Thus, the automatic reception is executed in the automatic answering mode. |
