Method of converting heat energy into mechanical energy by means of a rotary movement in which the working medium is a liquid gas and the power unit a rotary piston engine (2). The working medium is led from the engine to a cooler (3) where it is cooled to a second temperature lower than its first temperature and led back in liquid form to the chamber of a heater (1). ADVANTAGE - Engine in which additional means such as a pump are not required to transfer the working medium from the cooler.
