PURPOSE:To install an optical signal receiver/transmitter in each bent part and prevent the generation of the accident by bending of an optical fiber for installing the optical signal receiver/transmitter in the other part by providing the optical fiber which is provided with the bent parts at every suitable interval and with which the sum total of the bending losses of the light in these bent parts is below a prescribed value. CONSTITUTION:A line loss is increased by the bending if the bent part is formed in the optical fiber 4. Since the increase of this line loss by the bending can be estimated, the predesigning of the optical fiber so as to satisfy the permissible line loss when the optical fiber is applied to the transmission path of the communicating system is possible and the checking of whether the line loss is within a permissible range or not prior to delivery is possible. The designing of the system to be installed with nodes is, therefore, facilitated and the need for providing the bent parts on the optical fiber 4 after laying is eliminated. The mounting and dismounting of the nodes are easy even during use in this way and the possibility of damaging of the optical fiber 4 is eliminated. |
