The outer locking lever (6) can be connected to a remote control unit. An inner locking lever (8) is connected to an inner operating knob. A coupling unit is arranged so that, in the theft protection setting of the central locking unit, the inner locking lever is made ineffective. The coupling unit is operated by the electric motor drive of the central locking unit. The coupling unit (17) is arranged in the central locking unit (2). The latter has an operating slider on whcih the electric motor drive of the central locking unit works and engages the inner locking lever (8). The operating slider (18) consists of a top part (19) and a drive part (20). The inner locking lever (8) is connected to the head part (19). The outer locking lever is connected to the drive part (20). USE/ADVANTAGE - Construction with idling inner locking lever is further developed, so that special lever system and units for coupling unit in vehicle door lock itself are no longer necessary.
