摘要 The appts. for demonstrating the theorem of Pythagoras is made from two flat panels of glass or transparent plastics. The two panels are of identical shape and size and each panel consists of a central right angled triangle (1) with a square (2, 3, 4) formed on each side. The panels are placed side by side at a uniform distance apart and a seal formed around the edges. The square on the hypotenuse is filled with a coloured liq. Small internal holes are provided to enable the liquid to flow from the square on the hypotenuse into the squares on the other two sides which are completely filled, thus demonstrating the truth of the theorem of Pythagoras.
