The socket (1) for installation in a device or cable unit, has a dividing plate (2) with several apertures (3) for receiving coaxial sockets (5). The coaxial sockets (5) have a separate member comprising a base plate (6) and corresp. fastening elements (12) at the back. The base plate (6) is perpendicular to the plugging in direction (30). The apertures (3) in the plate (2) correspond in size and shape to the fastening elements (12). The coaxial sockets (5) are inserted through to front of the plate (2). ADVANTAGE - Enables simple and convenient insertion and connection of coaxial sockets into unit.
