The sealing or finishing strip (21) for fitting in the corner regions of ceilings or walls, is held in place by a fixing device (10). This fixing device (10) is made of sheet metal and is generally of channel section form with two parallel flanges (16). Each flange (16) has two lugs (14) which are bent outwards to semicircular form. The device (10) is fixed to the ceiling or wall by a screw through the hole (12) or nails through the holes (13). The sealing strip (21) (fig.2) is then pressed into place so that the grooves (23) engage the lugs (14) causing them to deflect elastically and grip the sealing strip. USE/ADVANTAGE - Concealing gaps in the corners of ceilings and walls.
