Yarn splicer - has cold conductor as additional heat source at splicing head to reduce control needs of heated compressed air

The yarn splicing appts. to join yarn ends together by heated compressed air, at each winding station of a textile machine, has a cold conductive component (24) at the splicing head as an additional heat source. Pref., the splicing appts. (1), with a cold conductor component as a heating source, is fitted to each winding station, for additional heat at the splicing head (4). The yarn ends (12a,13a) are prepd. for splicing at sections (18,19) above and below the splicing head (4), with cold conductive heating elements (58,59). The cold conductors (24,58,59) are structured to generate a given temp. at a preset nominal voltage, and they are all exchangeable. The cold conductor heaters (24,58,59) are connected through a control (55) to an adjustable DC source. Each splicer (1) is linked to a central nominal value standard for all the splicers, or only a gp. of splicers to set the splicing temp. ADVANTAGE - The system reduces the fine control needed for the heated compressed air, without reducing the splicing quality.
