The air gun with a lever mechanism which operates a piston to compress air inside a chamber behind the barrel, includes a valve which connects the compressed air to the barrel. The piston is a double piston, with a spring between the two parts. Incorporated in a pistol grip is a battery and solenoid operated by a trigger that a microswitch is operated to compress the valve plunger for a smooth, accurate firing action.
