The mounting (2) for an anti-skid unit (1) on a vehicle has a mechanism (4) swinging a support arm (5) between the rest and working positions. On the free end of the latter is a rotor (6), rotatable by the vehicle tyre, with numerous chain sections, flung by centrifugal force below the tyre. It has a mounting plate (20,21) screwed to the vehicle, on which a bracket (17) is fixed by detachable, spaced clamps (18,19). At the bracket end is a holder (12) for the anti-skid unit.
