PURPOSE:To manufacture frames in any desired form simply and inexpensively by forming pipe components from continuous fiber impregnated with resin, arranging them in the specified frame configuration, forming then a lug part at each component, and at the same time carrying out assembly of the whole frame. CONSTITUTION:In manufacturing frames, such components as an upper pipe 1, lower pipe 2, vertical pipe 3, rear fork 4, and chain stay 5 are first formed from continuous fiber impregnated with resin. Then a rear pawl 6, head pipe 7, seat pipe 8, hanger lug 9 are fixed together with the abovementioned components 1-5 by the use of a jig 10 in conformity to the specified dimensions. Lug parts are formed at the mating ends of these components 1-9, and thus a frame is accomplished. That is, the gap between the mating ends of for ex. the pipes 1, 2, 7 is filled with a foaming substance, etc., 13, and a prepreg. 14 layer is put on it, pressurized, heated, and hardened, and thus the specified lug part is formed. |
