PURPOSE:To obtain high reliability by updating a display value at specific intervals of time according to the value of a measurement signal unless a warning signal is outputted, and updating the display value immediately when the warning signal is outputted and updating a fixed-state display value again thereafter. CONSTITUTION:When a warning circuit 5 outputs no warning signal and an output binary signal 5a is at L level, a timer 14 performs fixed-state repetitive clocking operation and an OR circuit 15 outputs a display value update command signal 15a by the output of a signal 14a from the timer 14 at time intervals, so that the display value A of the dosage rate of radiation 2 on a display device 10 is updated. When a warning signal 5a1 is inputted to a detecting circuit 13, the display value A is updated. When a warning part 7 outputs a warning signal, the display value on the display part 17 is updated immediately to a value corresponding to the current value of a measurement signal. Therefore, the display part displays a value larger than a display value As corresponding to a warning set value B and the warning part 7 never outputs the warning signal unless the display part A on the display part exceeds the display value As, so that the radiation measuring instrument with high reliability is obtained.
