PURPOSE:To inspect easily an assembly by inspecting an outside diameter and an interval by a gear outside diameter inspecting head and a gear interval inspecting head, which execute a reciprocating motion so as to be opposed to a speed change gear assembly shaft which has been held by a holding tool. CONSTITUTION:A speed change gear assembly shaft 2 is held between each supporting pin 7, 9 of a holding tool 3 by utilizing a center hole of both its ends. Subsequently, by moving each slide cylinder 11a, 11b, a gear outside diameter inspecting head 4 and a gear interval inspecting head 5 are moved until the respective stopper pins 13a, 13b abut on stoppers 14a, 14b. The gear outside diameter inspecting head 4 detects exactly an outside diameter of the gear, when its outside diameter terminal 16 contacts elastically to the outside diameter of the gear, and it is positioned in a detecting distance of a proximity switch. Also, the gear interval inspecting head 5 detects exactly its interval, when its spacer terminal 26 is inserted into each interval and the detecting member approaches the detecting distance of the proximity switch. |
