PURPOSE: To monitor a stronger anesthetic level for a patient by consisting of a controllable stimulation means where it is positioned outside of a patient's gullet during the use for stimulating the gullet, and a pressure detecting means where it is positioned in the patient's gullet capable of measuring the pressure in the gullet, accordingly the contraction of the gullet is detected. CONSTITUTION: In case of use, a probe 1 is inserted into a gullet so as to position a globular body 4 at the lower part of the gullet, and a time unit 12 is actuated to control a valve 8 so as to intermittently connect an air reservoir 7 to the globular body 5. The valve 8 is connected to a line 9 to an air releasing hole 13 and purge the air from the globular body 5 at the interval of each of an inflating period. The air reservoir 7 is retained at the pressure of approximately 200mmHg, and the globular body 5 is rapidly inflated up to the maximum capacity by filling the air therein when the valve 8 is opened. Although it is either a spontaneous contraction or a contraction causing by the inflation of the globular body 5, the every contractions of the gullet are monitored by the globular body 4 filled by a liquid, and a pressure signal caused by the contraction is transmitted into a pressure converting device through a tube passage 2. |
