Disclosed are a monoclonal antibody having an affinity for endothelin-3 or a precursor thereof; a hybridoma cell which produces the monoclonal antibody; and an immunoassay of endothelin-3 and big endothelin-3, a precursor of endothelin-3, by a sandwich method or a competitive method. The monoclonal antibodies can be used as strong antagonists for endothelin-3 in various endothelin-3-related diseases, and the immunoassays make it possible to determine endothelin-3 and big endothelin-3 with high sensitivity.
