THERMAL RECORDING MATERIAL

摘要

PURPOSE:To enhance sensitivity and dot reproducibility by providing a thermal color forming layer on a support specified in its smoothness and using a specific ether compound in said thermal color forming layer. CONSTITUTION:In a thermal recording material containing an electron donating leuco dye and an electron acceptive compound, a thermal color forming layer is provided on a support whose smoothness prescribed by JIS-P-8119 is 500sec or more and a compound represented by formula (wherein either one of X and Y is an alkoxy group and the other one of them is a halogen atom) is contained in said thermal color forming layer. The thermal recording paper thus obtained shows good developed color density even by low energy and can be also improved in dot reproducibility.
