<p>A cleaning apparatus (10) for a conveyor chain (20) of a wrapping machine includes a frame (12), a pan (30) supported on the frame (12), a cleaning brush assembly (36), and a fluid removal assembly (38,40). The pan (30) is adapted to contain a cleaning fluid such as water. The brush assembly (36) includes a driven, rotary brush (88) which scrubs the conveyor chain (20) with the cleaning fluid. The fluid removal assembly (38,40) includes a plurality of squeegee blades (148) which engage the chain (20) and wipe the fluid therefrom. In addition, a plurality of air nozzles (180) are positioned to blast the chain (20) with pressurised air.</p> |
