A catalyst is presented for the purification of exhaust gases, in particular from internal combustion engines and gas turbines operated under superstoichiometric conditions, having an integral honeycomb form which has, in an inflow section, a catalyst for the selective reduction of oxides of nitrogen with NH3 and, in an outflow section, an oxidation catalyst.
