PURPOSE: To obtain a membrane having a flexibility and all the characteristics that allow changes in the capacity of a chamber by including at least the one layer of a fibrous material arranged between the two layers of a biocompatible elastomer. CONSTITUTION: The membrane 10 comprises the multilayer composite of including, in order from the outside 12 of a solution reservoir 14 to an inside 8, the layer 1 of a biocompatible silicon, the layer 2 of epoxy resin, a cloth 3 consisting of one or more than one layer of an woven kepler fiber 16, the second layer 4 of epoxy resin, the optional middle layer 5 of silicon, Mylar plastic film 6 and the third layer 7 of the biocompatible silicon. Preferably the layers 1, 5 may be an elastomer, if desired, the silicon can be substituted by a polyurethane and the like.
