<p>The invention provides a compound of the formula (I) <CHEM> wherein dashed bonds represent a double bond which can be in the cis or trans configuration, or a single bond; R min is -OH or = 0; A is -OH, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof or -OR1 where R1 is lower alkyl; the two R groups are independently an acyclic hydrocarbon, saturated or unsaturated, having from 1 to 20 carbon atoms, or -(CH2)nR2 where n is 0-10 and R2 is an aliphatic ring or an aromatic or heteroaromatic ring. Also provided are ophthalmic compositions containing the compounds, for use in the treatment of ocular hypertensions.</p> |
