A PROCESS FOR STABILISING POLYOLEFINS

A method of stabilising olefin polymers which have been polymerised on supported catalysts and have a mean particle diameter of 1-5 mm is characterised in that these polyolefins are treated with a stabiliser mixture prepared by heating a mixture containing a) at least one support material and/or b) at least one stabiliser which melts at 20-120 DEG C and c) at least one stabiliser which melts at 120-260 DEG C, at 120-260 DEG C and subsequently cooling the mixture until it solidifies, components b) and c) being different from one another.
