PURPOSE:To get rid of the worsening of a shift shock by connecting an accumulator to a control valve having each shift control hydraulic circuit of noth sub and main transmissions so as to make an accumulate chamber constitute a part of a working fluid hydraulic circuit of a friction element. CONSTITUTION:A multistage automatic transmission has each shift control hydraulic circuit of a sub transmission 4 and a main transmission 3 built-in a control valve C/V in a lump, attaching an accumulator 68, for example, a reduction brake accumulator to this valve. In addition, this accumulator 68 is connected so as to constitute a part of a working fluid hydraulic circuit 157 of a reduction brake RD/B or an accumulator chamber serves as a friction element, making working oil pressure in the friction element RD/B equal to internal pressure of the accumulator 68, and any rise in friction element working pressure is controlled as designed. Thus, such possible inconvenience such that interlocking is produced in the sub transmission and a shift shock is worsened is avoided in this way. |
