PURPOSE:To impart shrink resistance to washing to a cellulosic fabric without impairing glossiness, flexibility, moisture absorptivity, etc., essential to fiber by applying a solution containing an amide-based compound in an organic solvent to the cellulosic fabric and then heat-treating the resultant fabric. CONSTITUTION:A cellulosic textile product, such as cotton, hemp or regenerated fiber, is treated with a solution prepared by dissolving an amide-based compound in an organic solvent, such as dimethyl sulfoxide, to apply 0.5-7wt.% aforementioned active component thereto and impart excellent shrink resistance to washing thereto without impairing glossiness, moisture absorptivity, dyeability, etc., essential to the above-mentioned fiber. A cyclic amidophosphazene expressed by formula I ((x) is >=3), a linear amidophosphazene-based compound expressed by formula II, etc., or a phosphoric acid amide-based compound (e.g. condensate of phosphoric acid triamide) can be cited as the aforementioned amide-based compound. |
