摘要 PURPOSE: To drive a transverse electrode load by a constant voltage source by supplying energy from a power source stored in an inductor to an outputting load and re-storing charging energy of the outputting load in the inductor so as to return it to the power source. CONSTITUTION: When a switch S1 is on, energy from a power source Vin is stored in the inductor L and when the switch S1 is off and a switch S2 is on, stored energy is supply-charged to the load of the capacitive transverse electrode Cpanel. On the other hand, when the switches S1 and S2 and off and a switch S3 is on, charged energy in the load Cpanel is re-stored in the inductor L and next, when the switch S3 is turned off, charged energy in the load Cpanel is re-stored in the inductor L. Next, when the switch S3 is turned off next, re- stored energy is returned to the power source Vin. By this constitution, the transverse driver circuit requires only one power source without having power control, if so desired, and damage caused by the short circuit between electrodes on an EL panel can be minimized.
