PURPOSE: To ease the handling of, reduce the cost of and widen the application field of an arrangement that converts linear motion from a power source to rotary motion, by rotatably mounting a roller or corresponding element on the outer part of each wing-shaped part so that the rollers roll on a cam. CONSTITUTION: Two piston cylinder devices 13 and 14, which are associated with respective piston rods 4, include respective passages 15 and 16 for leading compressed air and respective passages 17 and 18 for exhausting the cylinders after every operation stroke. These rods 4 are rigidly connected to a single cam 2, so that the cylinder devices 13 and 14 work synchronously. Another member includes two mutually opposing wing-shaped parts 6 and 7, which are connected to a shaft 3 rigidly and which are mounted on their outer part with respective rotatable rollers 9 and 8 that can roll on the cam 2. The cam 2 has two curved parts 20 and 21 that meet together at a general middle position of the cam 2 to form a continuous curved surface. |
