PURPOSE:To accelerate the growth of plants by arranging magnets so that a magnetic field of a specific intensity in the horizontal direction to the sowed area can be applied in the vertical width over the height of the seeds. CONSTITUTION:In a cultivation tank 1 made of a plastic, a water-absorbing culture medium is extended and a plurality of permanent magnets are arranged so that the N poles and the S poles oppose to one another. Thus, a horizontal magnetic field is formed between the opposing permanent magnets 3. Further, the height of individual magnets is 3 to 5 times that of seeds 4 and the intensity of these magnets 3 is selected so that more than 50% of the magnetic fields between the magnets become 5 to 30G. Stronger magnetic field loses the balance of influence on ion flow to cause no growth acceleration. The seeds are sowed on the water-absorbing medium between individual permanent magnets and germinate and grow under influence of the horizontal magnetic field. |
