PURPOSE:To obtain high recording sensitivity, by supplying an AC bias, through the provision of the 2nd bias magnetic gap used in common in addition to the 1st recording magnetic gap relating to each channel. CONSTITUTION:A member made of, e.g. ferrite having high permeability constituting blocks 11 and 18 is mirror-polished and a winding groove 22 having, e.g., triangle cross section is formed along the lengthwise direction. The two are bonded via a spacer 23 of nonmangetic substance made of SiO2 glass. The outer surface 11a of the block 11 is finished to mirror surface, on which an insulating layer 12, a conductor means 13 for each channel, an insulation layer 15, a core section 14 for each channel are sequentially formed, a contact surface with a magnetic medium is polished and a magnetic gap 16 for each channel and a common magnetic gap 17 near the gap are formed at both sides of a block surface 11b. A coil 19 is wound around the block 18 and a common AC bias is applied. Thus, a high sensitive head with less crosstalk can be obtained. |
