发明名称 PRODUCTION OF REVERSIBLY SHRINKABLE POLYMER GEL MEMBRANE
摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain a raw material membrane having improved response and shrinkability and high output density comparable to that of skeletal muscle by sandwiching a polyvinyl alcohol, a polyacrylic acid and a polyallylamine between a pair of plates and repeating the freezing and thawing procedures. CONSTITUTION:An aqueous solution is produced by thoroughly mixing (A) a polyvinyl alcohol having a molecular weight of >=70,000 and a saponification degree of >=98%, (B) a polyacrylic acid which is a weakly acidic polymer electrolyte having a molecular weight of >=50,000 and (C) a polyallylamine which is a weakly basic polymer electrolyte having a molecular weight of >=50,000 at monomer molar ratios of 1:(0.3-0.05):(0.3-0.05). The aqueous solution is sandwiched between a pair of hard plates and the freezing at <=-25 deg.C and thawing of the solution are repeated >=15 times to obtain the objective thin polymer gel membrane having high shrinkage and a thickness of about 10mum. The shrinkage is improved by about 10-30% and the generating force is nearly doubled compared with conventional gel membrane. In a synthetic combination, the thickness is improved to <=1/5 and the response and output are increased to nearly 20 times.
